What could I use instead of a tint brush to dye my hair with semi-permanent dye?

I just bought some semi-permanent hair dye, and the instructions say to use a tint brush. This, I do not have. What could I use as a substitute? Could i just put it in my hands and put it on, if i have tons of rubber/plastic gloves?What could I use instead of a tint brush to dye my hair with semi-permanent dye?

You can, using a tint brush will just guarantee a more even look.
